ESP32-S3 GPIO19
Everything you need to use this pin correctly: status, alternate functions, boot-time cautions and working code.
| Status | Usable |
|---|---|
| Alternate functions | USB D− (USB Serial/JTAG) |
| Chip | ESP32-S3 pinout |
Watch out:
- Native USB pin. Using it as ordinary IO disables USB download and debugging.
Practical notes
Native USB D− (USB Serial/JTAG). It lets you flash and debug without a USB-UART bridge, at the cost of never being usable as GPIO again. Most "USB download suddenly stopped" reports trace back to initialising it as an IO in firmware.
Sample code
// Arduino
const int PIN = 19;
void setup() {
pinMode(PIN, OUTPUT);
}
void loop() {
digitalWrite(PIN, HIGH);
delay(500);
digitalWrite(PIN, LOW);
delay(500);
}
